trip to JB

to complete my report for Kajian Topikal, my lecturer Dr Alice was siggested me to go back to UTM Skudai, Jb and check out the Lukisan Terukur by students there about Rumah Melayu Melaka...

on 15th of last january, i went there with a friend....
i took diz apportunity to go back to Kalam and had some photos for old stuff...
urrmmmm....
im actually love antique stuff...check diz out...

diz is "celak mekah" or can be consider as Makka Eye Liner....

diz is the old type of eye liner.. diz is silver type, from Makka... there's also golden type which is from India.

and diz silver artifak is actually for Malay old generation to keep their sireh (betelnuts)

old mirror...

diz window mirror actually had been used in many years ago by old Malay but u can see that diz type came back in new version. darker wood.

and diz is "kisi-kisi", part of old malay architecture for cross ventilation. they put diz thing above the door leaves so dat the sunlight and the wind can go through. diz one look very nice carving n lots of bright color shows that the owner must be very rich or somebody in the community. i love diz one since i saw it there inside KALAM 10 years ago and it still there till now...
